Veterans Get Outside Day connects Veterans with resources and encourages outdoor activities to improve mental health. This event is free and you don’t have to be a service member or a Veteran to attend.
The event will feature adaptive sports opportunities, representatives from the Veterans Benefits and Veterans Health Administrations, community sports organizations and local and regional vendors. Event Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Activities will include Sailing excursions with Sail Newport and Sail to Prevail, The U.S. Navy Northeast Ceremonial and Jack Tarr Brass Band, adaptive sports opportunities and a fun walk/run sponsored by Run Newport. Free round Trip Trolly between Newport and Ft. Adams.
