Visit the grounds of the iconic Newport landmark, Rough Point, for art making led by John Grosvenor! An award-winning architect and artist, John Grosvenor is known for his background in design, interest and impact in preservation, and passion for the arts. Working in both oil and watercolor, Grosvenor is an active artist member in numerous watercolor societies. Artists will meet on the lawn of Rough Point, an iconic mansion that was the home of heiress and collector Doris Duke, surrounded by gardens and a stunning ocean view. As parking at the venue is limited, taking the trolley or biking is recommended. Artists must provide their own materials, but all mediums are welcome! Artists attending this event must be 18+. Participants will receive $5 off passes to visit the Rough Point museum.
