The iconic USCGC Eagle, known as “America’s Tall Ship,” returns to Newport. The 295-foot, three-masted barque is used as a training vessel for future officers of the U.S. Coast Guard, is the largest tall ship flying the Stars and Stripes, and the only active square-rigger in U.S. government service. While in Newport, public tours will be offered, along with a welcome ceremony and waterfront celebrations. Exact daily hours not yet specified.
