The arboretum sits along the restored salt marshes of Gooseneck Cove and features a notably diverse plant collection. Estate gardener Devin Skelly will lead the tour, walking attendees through the site’s native species restoration work and the horticultural efforts he has undertaken there. Points of interest include a paperbark maple grove, young giant sequoia trees, a buckeye (Aesculus) collection, and the rare wheel tree (Trochodendron aralioides). Tickets are $25 for non-members and $20 for NTC members, who can apply a membership code at checkout and also access registration two weeks before general admission opens on June 6. The tour involves walking and standing throughout. June 9 is the designated rain date.
